About LACO-Wiki

The LACO-Wiki project

LACO-Wiki is a project founded in 2014 and now operated by the project partners the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) and GeoVille GmbH, henceforth the LACO-Wiki team. The project was initially funded by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) in the Austrian Space Applications Programme (ASAP).

This project is based on the LACOVAL tool, which was available as an alpha prototype in 2013 and was funded by the European Space Agency (ESA).

Further developments of LACO-Wiki have been made possible by the Austrian Environment Agency (to support the validation of Copernicus high resolution layers) and ESA’s EO Science for Society initiative, which has helped to develop new features in LACO-Wiki and create an open source version of LACO-Wiki Mobile for in situ land cover data collection.

The LACO-Wiki logo should not be used without the prior consent of the LACO-Wiki team. Requests for permission to use the LACO-Wiki logo must be sent to info@laco-wiki.net.

Terms of use

The Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy of LACO-Wiki can be viewed at any time by clicking on the links. When you log onto LACO-Wiki for the first time, you will be shown the Terms of Use (with a link to the Privacy Policy), which you must accept in order to continue. Whenever the Terms of Use or the Privacy Policy are updated, you will be informed and be required to accept any new changes.
